The Erewash Countryside Volunteers and the Leen Valley Volunteers

This site is dedicated to the many volunteers who have freely given their time to conserve the natural environment of the Erewash and Leen Valleys, near the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire border. Check out the history of the group and their work to date, and browse through the various video and photo galleries. The group’s work includes tree planting, footpath clearance and maintenance, the installation of way signs, scrub clearance, hedge laying, litter picking and many other important tasks designed to create and maintain open access to the countryside. But of course it isn’t all hard work! The vols have proved to be just as adept at having fun, and a damn good knees up, as they were at clearing footpaths and laying hedgerows - just check out some of their videos.
